I’m a 30-something creative portrait photographer based in Indianapolis, IN where I live with my partner Adam and our 1 dog, two cats, and 9 chickens. I moved to Indiana back in 2011 from Wisconsin and have since called Indy home for its big city perks with small town vibes.
I’ve always been drawn to art – whether that was drawing, painting, writing, graphic design, or photography. I stole my mom’s point and shoot camera on vacations, took a film photography class in highschool, and in 2010 I bought my first DSLR off of my aunt so I could take MySpace photos for my friends.
In the beginning of 2020, however, I was hitting burnout at my day job and needed something to keep me creatively sane. I started reaching out to local models and began rebuilding my portfolio.
Through photography, I’ve been able to reconnect with old friends and make so many new ones. It’s been an amazing creative outlet that has pushed me into rediscovering myself as an artist. I hope you follow me on my creative journey!
Why Viewfinder?
While I pursued a degree in graphic design, I started doing odd jobs in 2015. Because of the work I was taking on at the time, I wasn’t just a photographer – I was a graphic designer, videographer, and editor. I wanted a name to encompass all of those mediums. And thus Viewfinder Media came into being.
The goal is to provide accessible professional photography in a fun albeit chaotic atmosphere. We’re here for the vibes.
